Introducing Desert Fire
 Desert Fire is dedicated to "serving the community from within the community." Founded on the sound Christian principles of considering others better than ourselves and doing for those who cannot repay in kind, Desert Fire was formed to supplement the efforts of local churches and other Christian community services. We are not a church. We are para-church in organization, not affiliated with any specific church body or denomination. Desert Fire invites all Christian churches to participate in its ministry outreach to our community.
Desert Fire focuses its efforts within the tri-county (Hinds, Madison, Rankin) area surrounding the City of Jackson, Mississippi. We are always looking for needs that are not being addressed by the local churches and social service agencies and welcome ideas for new projects.
Our Mission
 The mission of Desert Fire Ministries is to model the practical relevance of faith in Jesus Christ by sacrificial service to the local community. We accomplish this mission by working with members of local Jackson-area churches and others on special projects during the year. We also help new Christian-based community service ministries to develop programs and operations that benefit our community.
